12/23/08: For Hamilton Avenue School, PreK-5 ONLY: There will be a two-hour delayed opening on Monday,  January 5, 2009

12/22/08: Hamilton Avenue School building Temporary Certificate of Occupancy Update 

12/19/08:  "While there is not a TCO in hand for the new Hamilton Avenue School, we will wait until end of business on Monday, December 22, 2008 to determine whether the students and staff will move to the new building." Dr. Betty Sternberg, Superintendent of Schools

9/18/08: Modular Update

9/12/08:  Robert C. Brown, MS, CIH, Director of Industrial Hygiene at HYGENIX, Inc. has provided more than twenty mycology lab reports for environmental testing conducted in/around the modular facility and in the storage containers (trailers) at the modulars and Glenville School.  The summary table (link below) provides a description of the sample type, location, purpose, the sampling date, and a few brief comments about the test results.
    Summary of Mold Test Reports  

8/21/08: Environmental Testing Results Conclude that Modulars are "entirely clean and free of mold hazards." (Robert C. Brown, Hygenix, Inc.) Dr. Sternberg said, "based on this report the building will be open for staff on Friday, August 22nd and Hamilton Avenue School students will begin school on the first day - Wednesday, August, 27, 2008."
